The Diver Festival
On September 12, the Noa Eshkol Chamber Dance Group performs at Suzanne Dellal in the framework of “The Diver Festival” – contemporary dance festival in Tel Aviv Jaffa co-curated by Ido Feder and Moshe Shechter-Avshalom.
The program includes a dance performance, screening and panel discussion.
The screening is of rare footage from the 1980s, documenting Noa Eshkol as she guides the dancers Rachel Nul-Kahana and Ruti Sela in rehearsals, as well as answering questions from the audience after a performance.
The panel discussion features: Dana Bar (Dance Researcher at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance), Michal Shoshani (Dance and Movement Notation Researcher from the Noa Eshkol Foundation for Movement Notation) and Noa Shadur (Choreographer and creator of the dance “Entropy”, an homage to the dances of Noa Eshkol). The discussion will cover questions relating to the place and impact of artists from the past on contemporary dance in the present.
