Moved Bodies; Choreographies of Modernity

Muzeum Sztuki (Museum of Art), Lodz, Poland

The exhibition Moved Bodies; Choreographies of Modernity takes as its starting point the question of corporeal and kinaesthetic aspects of Katarzyna Kobro’s (1898-1951) theory and practice. It is a group show that explores the problem of movement rationalization and functionalization in artistic practices of Modernism and Modernity.

The show includes original illustrations by John G. Harries and Avraham Wachman from the Noa Eshkol Archive, models of the System of Reference, designed by Amos Hetz, and videos of Noa Eshkol instructing rehearsals with the Noa Eshkol Chamber Dance Group.

The Noa Eshkol Chamber Dance Group perform in the framework of the project in January.
