Illustrations for "Movement Notation"

These drawings by Avraham Wachman and John G. Harries help illustrate principles of movement for the original book ìMovement Notation," (1958) by Noa Eshkol and Avraham Wachman - the first official book that introduces Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation to the public. The illustrations seen here are a small sample from over 200 illustrations generously donated to the Noa Eshkol Archive by the Estate of Avraham Wachman.

Installation views from the exhibition, "Noa Eshkol; Angles & Angels" at the Badischer Kunstverein, Karlsruhe, Germany. The exhibition ran from July 1–September 11, 2016.

This selection of illustrations was featured in the first hall of the exhibition, alongside the earliest materials in the Noa Eshkol Archive that narrate Eshkol's transition from young dancer to composer and creator of EWMN.
